Book Recomendation/Review

HEIST SOCIETY NOVELS
Cover ImageAlly Carter did it again!! If you have read her Gallagher Girl Series then you will love her new series! Its the total opposite of Gallagher Girls but is just as good! The first book is called Heist Society and the second one that comes out June 21, 2011 is called Uncommon Criminals! Here is the synopsis of both books:

HEIST SOCIETY

When Katarina Bishop was three, her parents took her to the Louvre...to case it. For her seventh birthday, Katarina and her Uncle Eddie traveled to Austria...to steal the crown jewels. When Kat turned fifteen, she planned a con of her own—scamming her way into the best boarding school in the country, determined to leave the family business behind. Unfortunately, leaving "the life" for a normal life proves harder than she'd expected.
Soon, Kat's friend and former co-conspirator, Hale, appears out of nowhere to bring her back into the world she tried so hard to escape. But he has good reason: a powerful mobster's art collection has been stolen, and he wants it returned. Only a master thief could have pulled this job, and Kat’s father isn’t just on the suspect list, he is the list. Caught between Interpol and a far more deadly enemy, Kat’s dad needs her help.
For Kat there is only one solution: track down the paintings and steal them back. So what if it’s a spectacularly impossible job? She’s got two weeks, a teenage crew, and hopefully just enough talent to pull off the biggest heist in her family’s (very crooked) history—and, with any luck, steal her life back along the way.

UNCOMMON CRIMINALS
Cover ImageKatarina Bishop has worn a lot of labels in her short life: Friend. Niece. Daughter. Thief. But for the last two months she’s simply been known as the girl who ran the crew that robbed the greatest museum in the world. That’s why Kat isn’t surprised when she’s asked to steal the infamous Cleopatra Emerald so it can be returned to its rightful owners.
There are only three problems. First, the gem hasn’t been seen in public in thirty years. Second, since the fall of the Egyptian empire and the suicide of Cleopatra, no one who holds the emerald keeps it for long — and in Kat’s world, history almost always repeats itself. But it’s the third problem that makes Kat’s crew the most nervous, and that is . . . the emerald is cursed.
Kat might be in way over her head, but she’s not going down without a fight. After all, she has her best friend — the gorgeous Hale — and the rest of her crew with her as they chase the Cleopatra around the globe, dodging curses and realizing that the same tricks and cons her family has used for centuries are useless this time.

Which means, this time, Katarina Bishop is making up her own rules.

Are You A Gallagher Girl?

Cover Image
Have you read Ally Carters series Gallagher Girls? If not you are missing out!! The first book is called I'd Tell You I Love You But Then I'd Have to Kill You and it is awesome! Here is the synopsis of the first book:

Cammie Morgan is a student at the Gallagher Academy for Exceptional Young Women, a fairly typical all-girls school- that is, if every school taught advanced martial arts in PE and the latest in chemical warfare in science, and the students received extra credit for breaking CIA codes in computer class.  The Gallagher Academy might claim to be a school for geniuses but it's really a school for spies.

Even though Cammie is fluent in fourteen languages and capable of killing a man in seven different ways (one which involves a piece of uncooked spaghetti), she has no idea what to do when she meets an ordinary boy who thinks she's an ordinary girl. Sure, she can tap his phone, hack into his computer, or track him through town with the skill of a real "pavement artist" -but can she maneuver a relationship with someone who can never know the truth about her?

Cammie Morgan may be an elite spy-in-training, but in her sophomore year, she's in her most dangerous mission-falling in love.

It is an amazing book! Here are the other books in the series:

Book 2: Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy
Book 3: Don't Judge a Girl by Her Cover
Book 4: Only the Good Spy Young

This series is unbelieveably good! Girls will love Josh and Zach (read the books and you'll understand) and see themselves in the main characters over and over again!

Book Review

A TALE OF TWO CASTLES
Cover ImageThe amazing Gail Carson Levine is at it again! Her new book is called A Tale of Two Castles and here is the synopsis (from Barnes & Noble.com):

Elodie journeys to the town of Two Castles to become a mansioner - an actress - but the master of the troupe turns her away. Brilliant dragon Meenore takes her in, then sends her on a dangerous mission within an ogre's castle. There, disguised as a kitchen maid, she plays the role of a lifetime, pitted against a foe intent on murder.

Black-and-white cats, a handsome cat trainer, a greedy king, a giddy princess, a shape-shifting ogre, a brilliant dragon ... Elodie must discover which of them is kind, which is cruel, and, most of all, which is the one who deserves her trust.

I am so excited for this book! The second book is going to be called Beloved Elodie according to her website. It will be amazing!
